We recently moved into our new house and had no idea where to start with our garden, and rob came highly recommended from friends and family. Rob was more than helpful and patient with us whilst we discussed what we wanted and what would work in our garden. I cannot thank him enough for the wonderful job he did and how easy and stress free rob made the process. We look forward to spending many summers in our wonderful new garden!!Posted on Google![]()

We moved into our first home last year and had been searching for somebody to build us a cabin in the garden for additional room space. When a friend recommended Garden Pride, we were nervous and apprehensive with it being a big job to us but we called Rob he was straight round for a brew to talk through our plans, we just knew we could trust him with his expertise and passion for our ideas. We booked in for the cabin as well as a garden redesign which we are so glad we added to the plan it really made a difference. Rob and his team grafted for the next 3 weeks and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome, we might live in a cold wet climate but we stand in that garden come rain or shine to admire it. I honestly couldn’t thank Rob and his team enough for the amazing outcome we’re so proud of our beautiful garden now. Thanks Rob & Garden PridePosted on Google![]()

We’ve answered some of the most common queries below to help you plan your landscaping in Stockport with confidence.

It depends on the scope of the work. Smaller projects like turfing or patios may take a few days, while full garden renovations or garden rooms typically take 2–5 weeks.
We’ll give you a clear timescale before we begin.
Yes – we specialise in complete garden transformations.
From groundwork and drainage to patios, decking, fencing, turf and garden rooms, we manage the entire project in-house or with trusted subcontractors to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Yes – we’ll talk you through options, materials, and layout ideas based on how you want to use your space. Whether it’s a full redesign or a few upgrades, we’ll help bring your vision to life with expert advice.
Absolutely. We’re licensed waste carriers (CBDU554977) and always include the removal of waste, old turf, slabs or fencing as part of our service.
Your garden will be left clean, clear, and ready to enjoy.
In most cases, you won’t need planning permission for a garden room if it meets certain criteria. Typically, as long as the structure is under 2.4 metres in height and placed at least 1.5 metres from any boundary, it falls under permitted development rights. This means you can go ahead without formal planning approval.
However, there are exceptions. If the garden room will be used as a separate living space, or if your property is in a conservation area, national park, or Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, planning rules can be stricter.
For larger landscaping projects – such as significant changes to ground levels, retaining walls, or structures close to boundaries – it’s always best to double-check.
We’re happy to help. During your consultation, we’ll advise on whether planning permission is needed and, if so, guide you through the next steps.
